Melee is my daughter Sasha’s cat. He was a selected from a shelter and is now making their house a home. I think the lessons we can learn from Melee include:
Never put off eating when the kibble is there before you.
Even if you’ve just eaten three pounds of kibble, there is always a chance there might be a treat offered if you look cute enough. Or meow loud enough.
To ordinary people a window is a window. To Melee it is a fantasy world filled with birds and movement and possibilites.
A rolled up bit of paper on a piece of wire can provide hours of entertainment. Who needs technology?
Affection can be earned. Or not. Whatever.
Whenever a person is reading, that is the best possible time to sit on the page in front of them. Permission is overrated.
Shelter cats are wonderful pets, and Melee was the best part of my day.
