Never Has A Bad Day

I was recently browsing the website of Trepak Siberian Huskies because our dog Booker’s sire is listed there.  Booker’s father is named Ch. Trepak’s Likely Story, and you can find him listed under the “boys” icon on the home page. Good looks obviously run in the family. 🙂

Why was I visiting the website?  Every so often I just like to take a peek at how the breeder, Eileen Gacke, is doing. I also like to  note what new awards her dogs have been winning.  Eileen is truly a fine, fine, person, and passionate about her Siberian’s.  Without her help (and Amanda’s) we wouldn’t have our beloved Booker.

What caught my attention was Eileen’s description of Likely Story’s temperament including the phrase, “…he never has a bad day.”  What an extraordinary statement!

I find myself thinking I want to be like that…no matter what comes my way I, too,  can find the good in the situation or moment, and I can find the humor.  (Now, if I had only read that part about Booker’s dad being “a jokester” earlier.  That explains a lot about my empty planters and tortured plants.  It’s simply in his genes.)

Eileen, thank you for those words!  And thank you for Booker.  Both make me smile, and are the best part of my day.
